Most efforts aimed at ending poverty across Africa have failed to achieve their desired outcomes, despite the commitment of huge amounts of resources over the years. Hence, there is a need to explore more effective approaches to solving the problem of extreme poverty.
We recognize that to increase prosperity in any society, the creative and innovative capabilities of the people must be developed and unleashed in an environment that is conducive for businesses to thrive. Through this project, we aim to promote the conditions and policies that help to create an environment that is conducive to enterprise and job creation.
This project will also facilitate entrepreneurship and skills development for vulnerable youths while advocating for the adoption and implementation of business-friendly policies.
Part of our vision at Ominira Initiative is a prosperous society where there is respect for human and property rights. This aligns with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 1 to end poverty in all of its forms everywhere. By promoting enterprise, this project will hence, contribute to reducing poverty in Nigeria.
